What to Expect (or: Notes from Sara):
EquaSense Energy Therapy applies a system of touch and essential oils to the seven energy centers of the body (human, equine, or canine) and is designed to dispel blockages and disruptions in the bio-field, promoting health and natural balance.
BOOKING TREATMENTS: I will come to where your animal is and work on-site. I am based in Boerne, Texas but I do travel, especially for groups, so contact me to see if I can come to your area. Please try to give me 3 days notice and I will respond to you within 24 hours wherever possible.
EQUASENSE THERAPY FOR EQUINES AND CANINES: My initial visit will focus on an assessment of your horse to see what will best fit his or her needs. While all bodywork is beneficial, for long-term benefits I may recommend a program be determined after my initial intake assessment and session. The first time your horse might be a little nervous and will certainly be curious, but they are very good at telling us what hurts and what feels good. I like the owner to be at the first session to hold the horse - it allows for freer movement than being tied.
EquaSense Therapy may be beneficial in the following ways:
- Reduce stress
- Recover from trauma {i.e. Rescue horses}
- Resolve behavioral problems
- Recover from injuries
- Assist with general lethargy and depression
- Improves balance and well being
- Increases flexibility
- Boosts the immune system
- Strengthens the bond between animal and owner
All living creatures can have energy blocks. Horses, come under pressure typically through external factors: changes in diet, infection, environmental changes, alteration in training or use. EquaSense Therapy can be beneficial in these types of situations and is an excellent complement to conventional care when dealing with psychological and behavioral issues. It is not always necessary to retrain the horse, but instead resolve the energy blocks causing the behavioral issue.
As horses have no "preconceived notions" or ego to block energywork, they readily tune into the intent and work of the practitioner. During a session, a horse may drop his head, close his eyes, yawn or lick his lips and allow his bottom lip to droop. This signifies that the horse has relaxed into the energy and is accepting the energy flow. After treatment and a brief resting period, there is usually an increase in energy and general well being.
NOTE: There are no guarantees of improvements in behavior or health, and EquaSense Therapy is not a substitute for proper medical or veterinary care.
